VerifAI Privacy Policy

VerifAI ("the App") is developed by Nico Kafkas. This privacy policy explains how the App handles your information.

What We Collect

When you use VerifAI to check a message, link, image, QR code, phone number, or social media profile, the content you submit is sent to our secure backend for analysis. This includes:

• Text messages or emails you paste or type
• URLs or links you submit for checking
• Photos or screenshots you choose to analyze
• QR code URLs detected by your camera
• Phone numbers you submit for checking
• Social media profile URLs or messages you submit

How We Use Your Data

Content you submit is used solely to provide scam detection analysis. It is transmitted to Anthropic's Claude AI API via a secure Cloudflare Worker proxy for analysis, and the result is returned to your device. We do not store, sell, or share your submitted content.

Third-Party AI Service — Anthropic

VerifAI uses Anthropic's Claude AI to analyze content you submit. This means:

• What is sent: Only the specific content you choose to submit (text, link, image, phone number, or social profile).
• Who receives it: Anthropic, Inc., via their Claude AI API.
• Why: To analyze your content for scam, fraud, or phishing indicators and return a result.
• Anthropic's data practices: Submitted content may be subject to Anthropic's privacy policy at anthropic.com/privacy. Anthropic may use API submissions to improve their models unless you opt out per their policy.

By using VerifAI, you consent to your submitted content being sent to Anthropic for analysis. You are shown a consent screen on first launch explaining this.

What We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect your name, email, or personal information
• We do not require account creation
• We do not track your location
• We do not store submitted messages or images on our servers
• We do not share your data with advertisers

Data Storage

Scan history is stored locally on your device only. It is never uploaded to any server. You can clear your scan history at any time from within the App.

Third Party Services

VerifAI uses the following third-party services:

• Anthropic Claude API — AI analysis of submitted content. Subject to Anthropic's privacy policy at anthropic.com/privacy
• Cloudflare Workers — Secure backend infrastructure. Subject to Cloudflare's privacy policy at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy

Children's Privacy

VerifAI is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by the updated date at the top of this page.
